Alpha Program How To Start

Return to Alpha Program main page

Forward to  Alpha Program First Year

One of the first things to happen would be to purchase a starter kit from alpha.org. If you are in a large city you may be able to obtain this kit locally. For example, in Houston, TX you can purchase needed supplies from alphahouston.org, or a local church may also be a distributor. This kit includes the banners, cd's or video tapes, leaders guides and participant books.

This program is designed to be run by lay persons, but can be run by a staff member of the church. The pastor, core membership group and other committee members should all take the course at another church that has an established program before beginning the program at their own church. Establish a time table for which classes (ie: one per year for the first few years) should run.
