2.1  The new church will start with one computer(perhaps a laptop), a scanner/printer/copier/fax machine, a reliable fast speed Internet conncection, and a cell phone with voice-mail for the pastor.  A dedicated, listed phone number with an answering machine or call notes should be established for the assistant with call forwarding.

2.2 The assistant will be in charge of the everyday basic functions and then as soon as possible he/she should recruit a volunteer to assist and be a back-up for the assistant.

2.3  Start with a few good tools and know that you can add more as you go.  Do not over spend or buy more technology than you need or want to maintain. 

2.4  Check into any technology tools that your sponsoring church can provide.
